Your server
Alerts
Get told when a deploy fails, an app crash-loops, the disk fills up or a certificate has trouble, on Telegram, Discord, a webhook or email.
Channels
On the server's Alerts page, add where alerts go:
- Telegram
- Discord
- A webhook: a JSON POST for every alert, optionally signed with a secret (
X-Layer-Signature, HMAC-SHA256). - Email over SMTP: your provider's server, port and security (STARTTLS or TLS), a username and password (an API key or app password, not your account password), and a From address your provider lets you send from.
Each channel has a test button.
What raises an alert
- A failed deploy.
- A crash-looping app: 3 restarts in a minute, or systemd giving up.
- The disk over 80% full.
- Certificate problems.
- A failed cron job.
- An app without a backup for over a day.
Each alert says when it's resolved too. Open incidents are listed on the page, and a gold dot on the Alerts item in the sidebar means one is open.
